In regional wildlife conservation, crisis doesn't wait for convenient timing. At the Esperance Wildlife Hospital, our 100% volunteer-run team provides critical triage, emergency care, and rehabilitation for native fauna across the vast Goldfields-Esperance region. Recently, our remote facility was thrust onto the national frontline when our volunteers had to manage and contain mainland Australia’s first confirmed cases of H5N1 Avian Influenza in symptomatic seabirds.

Responding to a high-consequence biosecurity emergency in a remote regional community requires extraordinary resilience and immediate, uncompromising infrastructure. To protect our frontline volunteers, prevent cross-contamination, and maintain strict quarantine isolation, our hospital urgently needed robust sanitation and wastewater upgrades.

High-Stakes Containment with Coerco’s Premium Septic Systems

When managing a pathogen like H5N1 and upgrading volunteer and quarantine amenities, equipment failure is simply not an option. Coerco stepped forward to support our emergency response by supplying a heavy-duty, premium poly septic tank, while Tradelink Esperance provided the accompanying leach drain system tailored to our facility's unique site requirements.
