We're thrilled to announce that Esperance Wildlife Sanctuary Inc., nestled amidst the breathtaking landscapes of Lake Warden wetlands in Western Australia, has officially become a proud member of the Wildlife Land Trust (WLT), a program of Humane World For Animals (formerly Humane Society International)!

This exciting milestone marks a significant step in our ongoing commitment to protecting and enhancing the precious native wildlife that calls this special place home.

Overlooking the internationally significant RAMSAR-listed Lake Warden Nature Reserve, our sanctuary offers a unique and tranquil escape for nature lovers and bird enthusiasts alike. Imagine waking up to the chorus of over 53 bird species, the gentle rustling of banksia woodland, and the stunning panorama of a vibrant wetland teeming with life.

A Special Place, A Special Purpose

Esperance Wildlife Sanctuary is more than just a beautiful place; it's a dedicated haven for native wildlife. The 4.8-hectare property is a labor of love, focused on regenerating native vegetation and providing a safe haven for marsupials, lizards, snakes, frogs, and a diverse array of birdlife.

Lori-Ann's dedication extends beyond the sanctuary's borders. As a member of Western Australia Seabird Rescue (WASR) and a licensed wildlife carer with the WA Department of Biodiversity, Conservation and Attractions (DBCA), she brings invaluable expertise and compassion to the rehabilitation efforts. Colin and Lori-Ann's vision includes establishing a trust to ensure the long-term protection of this vital habitat.
